Q  WHAT IS THIS SERVICE? 
Helping Hands provide a popular dog walking Services for clients in and around Gateshead and Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our walks are a fun way for your dog to socialise as well as exercise. Your dog will enjoy their adventures with HH from woodland walks to countryside walks with either myself Emma, Stephen, Emma D or Stacey, we are all very passionate about our job and love seeing all the dogs have fun with their furry friends. Everyone at HH is police checked, fully insured and uniformed. We don't use vans at HH, we like our dog's to travel more comfortably so we use 4x4 vehicles and estate cars where every dog is securely fastened with a seat belt clip. We each have daily morning and afternoon walks with pick ups & drop offs in between, we don't do one large pick up for the day as we like to have less travelling time for our dogs (especially in summer) and more walking time! We try to offer a flexible service for our clients where they can even book in on the same day if they have had any last minute changes and need their dog walking. Our service offers your dog a wonderful social life, you can follow us on Facebook to see all of our daily adventures. Helping Hands Dog Services is available 7 days a week including Easter, Christmas and New Years Day.

Q. IS THIS SERVICE EASY TO ARRANGE?
Yes it is, you can phone or email to arrange a free no obligation consultation at your convenience. One of Helping Hands Dog services Owners Emma or Stephen, will come to your home for a friendly chat and to meet you and your dog. They will go through all your requirements and then you are ready to use the service!

Q. HOW DO YOU TRANSPORT MY PET AND HOW MANY DOGS DO THEY WALK WITH?
Helping Hands don't use vans with cages to transport your pet instead we have your dog safely fastened in our vehicles with seat belt clips. Your dog will be happy to look out of the window and watch the world go by as they travel to their walking destination. Your HH Dog Walker will bring along suitable buddies for your pet to play and socialise with. We walk in small groups, each of our dog walkers are insured to walk up to 6 dogs per walk. Weekly clients of our Dog Walking Service have exclusive use of HH Pet Taxi Service.
Q. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE MY DOG OUT?
We provide an hourly service where one of the HH team come and collect your dog from home, take him / her on a short enjoyable journey each day to a different and interesting locations such as woodland and riverside walks.  We have many different natured dogs on the service from excitable energetic Labradors who adore to run in the fields and woods to very timid and nervous dogs who prefer calmer walks. Whatever your dogs personality they can go on a walk that suits them, fully supervised by your experienced Helping Hands Dog Walker. When your dog is dropped back off at home your Dog Walker will settle them and leave you a note about the days events and update you with anything important 

We also offer Mini walks for our clients who work shifts, these are 30 minutes walks from home either early morning or teatime (meals also given if required for no extra charge)

Q. DO YOU PROVIDE ANY TRAINING FOR MY DOG?
Yes, every puppy and dog that joins Helping Hands Dog Walking Service is taught the basic commands of sit and wait. We make sure each dog recalls well on lead before we let them off ( with the owners permission ) All of our dogs are taught to sit correctly in the vehicles when travelling too.

Q. HOW MANY DAYS A WEEK CAN I BOOK ?
Helping Hands provide 2 types of service for Regular Clients

Your can block book walks for Monday to Friday, Clients using this service don't have to pay the higher premiums for any weekend walks. Their dog also has a priority place for Doggy Days Out.

We also have our very popular 2 DAYS PLUS, this is an ideal service for clients who work shifts or part-time and need to pop into work on various or random days each week. Helping Hands strive to make our service as flexible as possible and our clients can text or phone on the same day to arrange a walk for that last minute dash into work. Minimum of 2 walks per week required. No weekend charges apply if your dog has 3 or more walks a week.

Q. WHAT IF MY DOG IS IN SEASON ?
Helping Hands don't penalise you or make a fuss when your pet is in heat our service is about adaptability. We simply put your dog onto a 30 minute solo walk from home.

Q. DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANYTHING?
No, Helping Hands provide all the poop bags and when we drop your dog off after their walk we refresh their water and give them a treat ( If allowed ) then settle them so they are rested and happy for when you get home. 

Q. HOW MUCH DOES THIS SERVICE COST?
Helping Hands charge £10 per walk for clients booking the hourly service and £8 per walk for the mini walks half - hourly service. Fee's for Dogs from the same family who are walked together are £10 for your first dog and £6 per extra dog from the same household. Weekend rates do apply unless your dog has had 3 or more walks that week.

GATESHEAD.... All Gateshead Central, Low Fell, Leam Lane, Springwell Village, Kibblesworth, Lamesley, Lobley Hill, Dunston, Staiths Estate, Blaydon, Stella Estate Whickham, Sunniside.
NEWCASTLE..Sandyford, Jesmond, Kenton, Kingston Park, South and North Gosforth, High and Low Heaton, Newcastle Quayside, Great North Park, Five Mile Park, Wideopen, Hazlerigg
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.
All Dog Walking Fees are paid in advance, you can pay by Bank Transfer, Cheque or cash left out ready for collection on the first walk of each week. 

You must give 24 hours notice to cancel your booked walked or you will be charged your daily fee.

Helping Hands will try to be as flexible as possible for last minute requests, depending on staffing levels.

Regular Dog Walking hours are from 10am until 2pm, 7 days a week. We also have Half - Hour walking services for morning walks between the hours of 7am and 9am and teatime walks from 3pm to 6pm just ask for details !

Saturday is charged at the rate of time and half....Sunday is Double Time except for clients who book 3 walks or more each week.

If on the day of your booked walk the weather conditions are to severe for normal walking, your pet will be visited to be given a toilet break, then your dogs following walk will be adjusted to make up for the lost time. Helping Hands prides itself for always getting to your pet whatever the weather!

For insurance and safety purpose your dog will be walked on their lead until bonded with their walker and will only be let off with your permission and in a safe area. All dogs have to be up to date with vaccinations and flee treatments.

Helping Hands are passionate about pets, we offer a dog walking service with good basic obedience commands therefore all dogs on the service have to be walkable, any unruly or aggressive dogs will be offered an individual walk as an alternative.

Payments are in advance and must be paid for your first walk of the week. Any client refusing to pay their fee will recieve a Late Payment letter with an added £35 administration cost. Constant refusal to settle your fee will lead to court action and costs.
